Very simple:

I got the recipe from my sweet 80-year old neighbor way back when we first moved out to the country:

l can crushed pineapple
3-4 lbs sugar
3-4 lbs pears chopped fine

Cook down to thicknesss you like and seal in hot, sterilized jars. (Note: I know it is supposed to be a no no but I don't process jams and jellies or this honey!)gldhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03645803822598151817noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-628662603932607754.post-44975227525536546502013-08-21T12:19:49.547-05:002013-08-21T12:19:49.547-05:00Or for those adventurous times maybe some people h...Or for those adventurous times maybe some people have a reaction to pectin on their skin and clearjel would be less aggravating :)

We are just brainstorming here right?
PioneerPreppyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09269878017447335944noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-628662603932607754.post-28173458890996423142013-08-21T11:11:55.634-05:002013-08-21T11:11:55.634-05:00Thanks for the Clearjel lesson! The neighbors pear tree didn't put out any fruit this year (stupid weather) so it looks like I'll have to wait till next year to put some more up. We've got a sort of take all you want thing going on with them. They don't eat pears at all.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01666836930255009486noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-628662603932607754.post-57122691619429218042013-08-21T10:12:43.586-05:002013-08-21T10:12:43.586-05:00Sounds like the versatility of the Clearjel is wor...Sounds like the versatility of the Clearjel is worth the extra price and shorter storage.
