It is way too hot for some things to do well.

Like Yukon Mike, I suspect higher food prices are ahead!gldhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03645803822598151817noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-628662603932607754.post-41623276890953612011-06-04T20:04:08.809-05:002011-06-04T20:04:08.809-05:00I am concerned about USA food crops this year. With all the flooding in the central states and now Montana is worried about all the mountain snow melting to quickly and flooding farmland food shortages and high prices for it may be just arounf the corner.Mike Yukonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07615350717597229013noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-628662603932607754.post-70259171405599412432011-06-04T19:29:16.071-05:002011-06-04T19:29:16.071-05:00This has been a horrible, horrible year for growin...This has been a horrible, horrible year for growing. I was just reading the Farm and Dairy and it said that our area experienced the wettest spring on record and only 4% of soybeans had been planted compared to last year at this time. My wheat is way behind and some fields are two months behind in planting. I have had failure in my potatoes, tomatoes, blueberries, and most other garden crops arent looking much better. To top it all off we have now had no rain for 2 1/2 weeks and high heat, so that is the real kiss of death. I think we are all in the same boat this year. And that is a very bad thing.Jane @ Hard Work Homesteadhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02905658082120445313noreply@blogger.com
