...the future matriarch of our herd of Boer goats!
More to follow tomorrow. Or in the middle of the night. Or in the wee-hours of the morning. Because I'll be feeding the little floppy eared critter every four hours.
Ah, the wonderful life of homesteaders! Going to get a few hours of shut-eye. Later!
O-M-G! He/She is SOOOOOO cute! Let's name it Snickers. No, Pickles!!!! I told Joe our next Dog will be named Pickles and he said "ummmm...NO"
ReplyDeleteSNICKERS!!!!! PICKLES!!! I don't know which one I like better!!
DeleteIt was so hot yesterday.....that I bought a Boer goat that I had to bottle feed every 4 hours!
ReplyDeleteCongratulations!
LOL!! Yeah, I know, I know, what the heck was I thinking!
DeleteAh how cute! Ho soon will it be out of the cage? Under quarantine?
ReplyDeleteShe was in the dog crate for the night, but she'll be quarantined for three weeks in another pen. Sucks, but we have to think of our other goats's health.
DeleteWhat a cutie! Try to get some shut eye in between feedings. Congrats on the new goat.
ReplyDeleteShe's beautiful! Love the ears . . . I've always been a Nubian fan. Eager to hear what you name her. As with a human baby, these next few weeks will fly by. Be sure to take lots of pictures with somebody in the pic for size comparison so you can remember how she grew!
ReplyDeleteIt's hard to think of her as a 'matriarch'. A cute babybuntinghoneylambchop, maybe. I see that you have nothing but time on your hands, so bottle feeding every 4 hours is a piece of cake.
ReplyDeleteAwwww...she's beautiful!! :)
ReplyDeleteYay! The world needs more goats, I LOVE goats LOL...!
ReplyDeleteThat's a good start!!!! Welcome to the world of meat goats!!!!
