You'll be missed. But I'm glad that you got to spend the last eight years as a country dog, chasing rabbits (as well as an old, overweight beagle with little stubby legs could anyhow) and helping us when we went squirrel hunting.
Aww, so sorry for your loss. We had beagles early in our marriage, 2 brothers. Nose to the ground, those dogs. One went missing after escaping the back yard, the other came back with black mud all over him. They had obviously been down in the marsh. Only assume a gator got the missing one. The remaining one Barney, lived to the ripe old age of 10. We still miss him.
Dang, it's so hard to lose an animal. Especially a dog or cat who manages to worm his or her way into being one of the family. What better life could Moonshine have had than loving and living in the country with all of you?
Sending hugs. It's hard when they have to leave us.
Moonshine loved running around in the country, oh the life you gave that sweet dog. I'm so sorry for your loss. Moonshine RIP with the other little doogies above.
It's always a tough thing to lose a furry part of your family. I am sure he had a wonderful life with your family - what beagle could ask for more than rabbit chasing and tummy scritches? Come to think of it, what person could ask for more? Love and hugs to you all.

ReplyDeleteSorry you lost Moonshine. My Sis just had to put down her 13 year old house dog. We have lost so many it is hard to count them all.
ReplyDeleteHe did live a good dog's life doing what he was meant to do.
